Krzyżowa 2008 – Artistic summer

International artistic workshops in Krzyżowa

ARTISTIC SUMMER 2008.

This year, 120 young creators and adepts of art from many countries (Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus , ……….) will work for two weeks in several groups: film, ceramics, graphics and dance. The idea behind ARTISTIC SUMMER in Krzyżowa is joint work of artistic school students and amateurs, representing a variety of cultures and artistic trends from many countries. Integration of the participants as foreseen by the program is an important aspect of the workshops – through accommodating young people from different countries together, as well as joint involvement in many artistic and social activities. A specific program of the workshops allows for quick integration. All participants take part in the creation of a visual happening at the end of the workshops. For many years now, an important aspect of the workshops has been their continuation by way of maintaining private contacts between the participants, joint fun, open-air events after the conclusion of the project.

DANCE WORKSHOPS

This year’s artistic summer dance workshops will be the meeting point of young people from the Balkans, Germany and Poland, who will work together in three groups of several people ( representatives of three countries in each group) with each of the three choreographers. We ensure excellent fun and hard work during everyday warm-ups and classes, lots of satisfaction out of creating dance routines and the final performance. Through the study of dancing skills, choreography, drama classes or costume making, we want to show the young people how to produce a dance performance – from simple movements to complicated dance routines. Working on one’s own body consciousness and breaking the barriers, which are limiting. The workshops will be taught by : jazz dance - Izabella Borkowska, Belarus dance with classical elements – Oleg Saprończyk, popping and locking – Jakub Łukowski and director Darek Sikorski
